In the heart of the Val d’Orcia, a charming farmhouse of approximately 366 square metres. Partly spread over two storeys, it is surrounded by a large garden of approximately 6,400 square metres, featuring a swimming pool in a panoramic setting.
The farmhouse is situated on the ridge of a high hill with a marvellous view over the Val d’Orcia, with its wheat fields and the colours of the earth and crops changing with the seasons, and roads winding their way through the hills, lined with cypress trees. It is one of the most enchanting and famous landscapes in the world.
The farmhouse was completely renovated during the 1990s, in keeping with the traditional architecture of Tuscan farmhouses.
The farmhouse has a distinctive C-shape; the south-west wing is single-storey, whilst the main section is two-storey. The two parts of the farmhouse are connected by a large covered portico.
The main entrance is situated in the centre of the portico, leading into a spacious hallway; from here, on the right-hand side, you enter the spacious kitchen, which features a wood-burning oven. Through an arched doorway from the hallway, you enter the spacious living room, divided into two areas by a striking central through-fireplace and a stone arch; on the right-hand side of the living room is another hallway leading to the kitchen and the ground-floor bathroom.
In the living room is the staircase leading to the first floor, where you reach a spacious central living room with a fireplace; on either side are four bedrooms and two bathrooms (two bedrooms and one bathroom on each side). At the far end of the living room is access to the large terracotta terrace with panoramic views over the Val d’Orcia.
The other part of the farmhouse, which is on a single storey, comprises ancillary rooms (a cellar, a storeroom and an additional porch). This part has been altered without municipal authorisation to create a small annexe
